The Director General of the National Museum of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirisaq Mohamed Farah (Gafo), and the Executive Director of Horn Heritage, Sada Mire, officially signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday 9th April 2026.
The agreement aims to foster multi-faceted collaboration focused on advancing the development of the National Museum. It seeks to strengthen the museum’s vital role in preserving, exhibiting, and promoting Somaliland’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Officials described the partnership as essential in transforming the National Museum into a true home for Somaliland’s history — a dynamic center dedicated to safeguarding and showcasing the country’s longstanding cultural treasures and artifacts for both current and future generations to enjoy and learn from.
