A two-day knowledge-sharing workshop on enhancing fiduciary oversight and combating corruption in World Bank-financed projects was officially concluded on Tuesday afternoon at the Ambassador Hotel in Hargeisa.
The workshop brought together Director Generals from various ministries and institutions implementing World Bank-supported projects in the Republic of Somaliland.
Officials described the event as highly significant, with sessions centered on strengthening financial monitoring capabilities and intensifying efforts against corruption.
The closing session was formally addressed by the Director General of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Saleebaan, accompanied by the Auditor General of the State, Mr. Muse Jamaac Ismaan, and the Chairman of the Good Governance Agency, Dr. Ahmed Aden Dirir.
Certificates were awarded to all participating officials, who were commended for their contributions to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in development projects.
