The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Abdillahi Hassan Aden, has opened a two-week capacity-building training program for 50 officers from the Ministry’s Internal Audit Department.
The 15-day training, organized in partnership with the World Bank, is being delivered jointly by local firm Merit Advisory Services LLP and international firm Crowe International COR LLP.
It aims to strengthen staff skills in financial procedures, revenue management, compliance with national laws, and principles of accountability and good governance. The program focuses on standardizing revenue processes, enhancing monitoring systems, and improving overall public financial management.
This is the second phase of the initiative, with the Minister urging participants to apply the acquired knowledge in their daily duties to ensure a more transparent and accountable financial system in Somaliland.
