The Minister of the Presidency of the Republic of Somaliland, Khadar Hussein Abdi, stated that the government is committed to advancing the knowledge and capabilities of the country’s youth. He also highlighted that the people of Borama and Amoud University are leaders in promoting education, and that the ideas and innovations showcased at the Somaliland Technology Awards competition deserve further strengthening.

Minister Khadar Hussein Abdi made these remarks during a speech at the official closing ceremony of the Somaliland Technology Awards, where he emphasized that the government, through collective effort and action, is encouraging support for youth innovation and new technological ideas—initiatives that can drive both economic and social progress.

Speaking on the matter, the Minister said:

“We know that the people of Borama are pioneers in Somaliland’s education sector, with Amoud University among the leading institutions in the country. The ideas presented here need further development and enhancement.”

Minister Khadar added:

“As a government, we are committed to empowering Somaliland’s youth. The President’s goal in this initiative is to develop the knowledge, skills, and ideas within our young people. The world’s most valuable companies don’t produce physical goods—they connect two people who need each other. These ideas are creating jobs and adding immense value.”
