This report, prepared by Dawan Newspaper editor Ahmed Mohamed Saleban, begins: Since the formation of the government, the Somaliland National Armed Forces have consistently implemented strategic plans related to the development of modern training, advancement of technological knowledge, and equipping of the forces. These special units are trained in modern skills related to executing planned and rapid operations, warfare strategies, the use of various weapons (including long-range shooting/sniping), intelligence gathering, and planning operations at regional or national levels. This training aligns with the national defense strategy, particularly in areas of counter-terrorism, border security, and enhancing defense self-sufficiency, enabling Somaliland to effectively respond to internal and regional security threats.
The First Commander of the National Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abdirisaq Said Bulale (Afgudud), along with higher officials conducted a work inspection visit to the Adadley Training School on October 27, 2025. He encouraged the forces to complete their training relentlessly, reminding them that the key to success lies in genuine determination, perseverance, and continuous effort.
