Hargeisa – The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, today officially opened the Conference to Review State Hospitals in the Country’s Regions. The conference is analyzing the overall situation, progress, and improvement of health services in all public hospitals across the country.
The objective of this conference is to review the level of health services provided, the existing challenges, and how to further accelerate the development of public health services, while enhancing the management system and efficiency of public hospitals.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director-General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, the Director and Deputy of the Hospital Development Department, the Directors of public hospitals from the regions of the country, as well as experts and advisors from the Ministry.
The Director-General of the Ministry of Health Development, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, presented on the importance of improving public hospitals, stating that the Ministry is fully prepared to support the Hospital Directors in achieving high-quality health services and implementing the plans for developing the nation’s hospitals.
The Minister of Health Development, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, who delivered the opening address at the conference, highlighted the importance of the continuous review of health services. He indicated that the Ministry is committed to strengthening the quality of public health services to achieve comprehensive, modern, and efficient health care accessible across the entire country.
Furthermore, the Minister urged the Hospital Directors to prioritize patient care, combatting emergency diseases, and maintaining hygiene standards in the nation’s health facilities.
