H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, President of the Republic of Somaliland, welcomed a diverse international delegation to the Presidential Palace today, August 31, 2025. The delegation, led by the PLO Lumumba Foundation, included representatives from Africa, Asia, the USA, and Europe, specifically from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, USA, Qatar, China, India, and Austria.
The discussions centered on investment opportunities in Somaliland’s untapped sectors, with a focus on energy, manufacturing, and natural resources. President Irro encouraged the delegation to invest, emphasizing Somaliland’s peace, political stability, efficient governance, and democratic system as a strong foundation for mutually beneficial investments.
The delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and productive talks, pledging to thoroughly explore investment prospects in energy, manufacturing, natural resources, and economic infrastructure. They praised Somaliland’s stable and investor-friendly environment, noting its potential to attract global investment.
