In a significant step toward fostering economic growth, Somaliland’s Minister of Commerce and Tourism, Hon. Abdirahman Hassan Nur, alongside the Director General of the Ministry of Investment and Industrial Development, Mr. Abdifatah Ismail Duale, warmly welcomed two international delegations at Egal International Airport today.

The first delegation, representing the PLO Lumumba Foundation, comprises scholars, entrepreneurs, and investors eager to explore Somaliland’s burgeoning business, investment, and development prospects. The second group, from the global firm BUSG, arrived to evaluate potential investment opportunities and discuss collaborative developmental initiatives with the Somaliland government.

Both delegations were greeted with enthusiasm, with Minister Nur emphasizing Somaliland’s openness to partnerships that drive economic progress. “We are delighted to host these distinguished visitors and look forward to fruitful collaborations in business and investment,” he stated.

Over the coming days, the delegations will engage with key government institutions and visit critical infrastructure, including the Berbera Port and the Free Zone, to gain firsthand insight into Somaliland’s economic potential.

Speaking on behalf of the visitors, representatives expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and the government’s proactive approach to fostering partnerships. “We are thrilled to be here and appreciate the opportunity to explore Somaliland’s promising landscape for investment and development,” a delegate noted.

The visits signal Somaliland’s growing appeal as a hub for international investment, with the government committed to showcasing its strategic infrastructure and business-friendly environment.
