Sanaag – Somaliland’s Minister of Energy and Minerals, Eng. Ahmed Jama Barre, conducted a working visit to the Sanaag region, where he officially inaugurated the largest gold mining plant in the Horn of Africa. The facility, funded by the Xididmadow Company, is located in the Cirshiida area.
The Minister and his delegation inspected mining companies in the region, holding meetings with company management and local communities.
Additionally, they distributed food aid to communities affected by drought. The aid was formally handed over by the Minister of Energy and Minerals alongside the Chairman of Xididmadow Company.
The Minister of Livestock Development officially received the aid and subsequently transferred it to the Governor of Sanaag Region for distribution to the community.
