The Planning Minister lauds the President for decisive action in resolving the Agabar conflict

Hon. Kaltun Sheik Hassan Abdi, Somaliland’s Minister of Planning and National Development, publicly praised President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi for his resolute decision-making in addressing the recent conflict in the Agabar area of the Gabiley region.

The Minister commended the President for his bold leadership, which effectively brought an end to the violent clashes that resulted in loss of life and injuries.

In a statement, Hon. Kaltun highlighted the President’s firm actions that quelled the unrest in Agabar, emphasizing the significance of his intervention in restoring peace. “The President’s decisive measures have ensured stability in the region, and we are deeply grateful for his leadership,” she said. She also expressed condolences for the two individuals laid to rest in Gabiley this morning, noting that their families’ grief was shared by the nation.

The Minister extended her gratitude to members of the Council of Ministers who worked tirelessly alongside local authorities to resolve the conflict. “Their dedication, day and night, to finding a solution demonstrates the unity and commitment of our government to the people of Somaliland,” she added.

Hon. Kaltun concluded by reiterating her appreciation for the President’s resolve and urged continued efforts to maintain peace in Agabar and beyond. “We stand with the families of the deceased and the entire Agabar community. Let us continue to work together to ensure such incidents are resolved swiftly and peacefully,” she said.
