In a significant step toward strengthening cultural preservation and public awareness, Minister of Information, Culture, and Awareness, Hon. Ahmed-Yasin Sheikh Ali Ayanle, hosted a productive meeting today with representatives from Expertise France at his office. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of cultural heritage preservation and awareness initiatives.
The Minister was joined by key officials, including the Deputy Minister Hon. Muse Askar Guled, the Director Genera Abdisalan Mohamoud Duale, the Director of Planning, the Director of Culture, and the Head of Policy and Planning. The delegation from Expertise France, an agency dedicated to safeguarding ancient heritage and promoting cultural initiatives, expressed enthusiasm for deepening ties with the Ministry.
The meeting explored strategies to protect and promote the Somaliland’s rich cultural and historical assets, including ancient artifacts, traditional practices, and public engagement campaigns. Both parties emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure sustainable preservation and increased awareness of cultural heritage.
