This visit marks a positive milestone for Somaliland, which has maintained a stable democracy since reclaiming it’s independence in 1991, holding nine free and fair elections since 2001. President Irro’s administration has prioritized international engagement, and this trip to Kenya highlights Somaliland’s growing role in regional diplomacy.
