Commander of the Somaliland Police Force, Brigadier General Abdirahman Abdillahi Hassan, stated that the registration of the National Forces, recently launched by the President, will soon be completed, and the key purpose behind it is to improve the lives of the soldiers and the Somaliland National Forces. He also mentioned that by the end of this month, the salaries of the forces will increase, adding that a water well will be drilled at the Tog-Wajaale Bank Project to boost production.

The Commander instructed the forces involved in the production project and the units to prepare for the registration of the forces and the commemoration of the National Day on May 18th. He also commended the forces for strengthening the productivity of the Tog-Wajaale farm, so that the forces can become self-sufficient in food, which is a vital step that could help them rely on their own internal resources.

He said, “This is the Wajaale Bank, a land that God has given us, and it yields produce. I see a lot of crops that you have harvested. If we establish a well here and grow what we eat, God willing, and plant vegetables, if we take action to cultivate, the forces could achieve self-sufficiency.

The President has ordered the registration of the forces, and it is ongoing. It will be concluded soon, and if God wills, it won’t extend beyond this month. By the end of this month, salaries will increase, God willing. The essence of registering the forces is to uplift the lives of the soldiers and the forces, and for the government to know its active forces—those it can rely on and account for.”
