Pharo Foundation Strengthens Collaborative Engagement with Somaliland Government Ministries

In a strategic endeavour to fortify its enduring partnerships, Pharo Foundation’s Country Director, Mr. Mohamed Muse, accompanied by key members of the Foundation’s Somaliland team, held meetings with newly appointed government ministers.

These high-level discussions took place at the respective ministry’s premises, Hargeisa, Somaliland and included engagements with the Minister of Education and Science Prof Ismail Yusuf Dualle, the Minister of Water Development Resources Mr. Abubakar Abdirahman Goud, the Minister of Health Dr. Hussein Bashir Hersi, and the Minister of Agriculture Mr. Mohamoud Ige Yusuf. Joining Mr. Muse were representatives from the Pharo Foundation’s Health, Education and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) departments including Head of Education Ms. Muna Ahmed Jama, Head of Water Mohamoud Abdi, Mohamed Daud Health NCD Manager, which all play a crucial role in the Foundation’s development initiatives across Somaliland.

These ministries serve as the Foundation’s principal governmental counterparts in implementing transformative development programmes. Over the years, Pharo Foundation has cultivated a strong working relationship with these institutions, facilitating projects that align with its core mission of improving education, enhancing water accessibility, and boosting productivity. The meetings provided a valuable platform for reaffirming this shared commitment to sustainable development while identifying new avenues for collaboration. Both parties expressed their firm commitment to sustaining and deepening these partnerships to ensure continued improvements in service delivery and community impact.

Through these strengthened governmental collaborations, Pharo Foundation office in Somaliland reaffirms its unwavering dedication to driving meaningful change in Somaliland.
