UK Ambassador Michael Nithavrianakis, alongside colleagues & Save the Children, met with private sector reps, incl. Dahabshiil CEO Abdirashid Duale, to discuss growth, diaspora investment, job creation & food security. Collaboration is key for stability & development.

Meeting held in Hargeisa, brought together British diplomats, Save the Children officials, and private sector representatives to discuss economic and trade development, how to find solutions to the challenges affecting the economy, and ways to strengthen the investment made by the diaspora in their countries of origin.

The meeting highlighted the importance of partnerships between donor countries and businesses, to create strong economic development in the future.

Abdirashid Duale, who spoke at the meeting, said there is a need for strong partnerships between businessmen and development-minded governments, such as the UK and international organizations.

“It is important for the UK government and international organizations to work with businesses to create more job opportunities for young people and women.
