President inspects major government projects in the city

The President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi has on Thursday morning inspected various major developmental projects being undertaken by the government in the city of Hargeisa.

The Head of State who was accompanied by some members of the cabinet, the governor of Marodi-Jeeh region, the mayor of the capital Hargeisa and heads of the government inspected the work carried out in areas including the new City Water Reservoirs that the water agency is implementing in the capital’s districts, to facilitate the efforts of the supplying ample and clean tap water to the residents, the Egal International Airport and the National Museum whose construct is in its final touches of completion stages.

President Musa Bihi Abdi first inspected the new water storage reservoir designated to store drinking water for the people of Ahmed Dagah district, whose construction is also nearing completion, and was given briefs by the officials concerned.

The Hargeisa Water Agency, Mr. Mohamed Ali Darood and some of the officials in charge of the construction of the Water Reservoir, who have continued their efforts to improve the water supply in the capital city were present.

He thereafter visited the Igal International Airport, and observed the smooth running of operation at the airport facilities and the services provided to the travelers.

The airport’s general manager, Mr. Omar Abdilahi Adan (Umar-Sayed), gave a brief report on the implementation of the new airport security forces.

The President culminated his inspection tour with the inspection of the ultra modern building structure whose construction is in its final stages, which is the new National Museum at the center of Hargeisa.

The president inspected the several storied building and walked along all the floors while appreciating the state of the art construction that has been set.

He was conducted to the National Museum tour by the Director General of the Presidency, Mr. Mohamed Ali Bile who gave him briefs on the construction process.

The museum project is the brain child of the president himself that will go down well in the historical journals of the nation’s achievement.
