The Vice President H.E. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail (Saili’i), attended the graduation ceremony of the 8th batch of Horn University yesterday in Borama, the capital of Awdal region as the guest of honour.
Horn University of Medical Sciences has graduated 130 students who have completed their various levels of education.
The ceremony held for the graduates was attended by various officials, teachers, parents, the graduating students and other distinguished guests.
The chairman of the board of the Horn University in Borama, Miss. Bahja Omar Muhammed spoke about the educational process of the University and the universities of the neighboring countries with which they have educational relations terming theirs as a high profile one, compared to many.
The VP praised the administration of Horn University and the parents of the children for their efforts to make their education fruitful.
He said. “We are grateful to the management, teachers of Horn University, who produced the graduates armed with knowledge”.
He continued, “I am also grateful to the honorable parents, who worked hard for the beautiful children who are in front of us today, who brought them here in different difficult circumstances, endurance and perseverance”.
