The President H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi, has issued an order to investigate the cause of the recurring fires whose blazes engulfed a lot of properties on night of Saturday/Sunday.
In the wake of the latest fires whose inferno has claimed a lot of property in the commercially vibrant frontier town of Tog-wajaale, the Head of state has expressed his sincere sympathies and condoled the residents on their plight and called on them to take heart, and steel themselves against the moment, hence prayed to God to give them respite and relief.
He also praised the fire-fighting brigade for their spirited efforts in combating the blazes and at the same time the securing and safeguarding of assorted properties amidst the inferno and commotions.
The President also thanked the fire-fighting brigade of the Ethiopian Somali Regional Government who played a major role in extinguishing the fire in the Wajale market.
The President instructed the security agencies to conduct an efficient and thorough investigation into the causes of these repeated fires, and called for the compliances and adherence to procedural anti-fire measures preventing occurrences of such disasters.
Finally, the President of the Republic of Somaliland is calling on the rest of the members of the public and society in general to rise up to the occasion concertedly collate efforts in an attempt to raise funds for the resident businesses that has been rendered destitutes for having lost all their livelihoods in the inferno, noting that the state will play its part in the role.
