Speakers of both Houses of the Parliament receive MP Sir Gavin Williamson

The Speakers of the two chambers of the Senate and the representatives received MP Sir Gavin Williamson of the UK Parliament who has been involved in the cause of the independence of the Republic of Somaliland.

The Speaker of the Senate Hon. Suleiman Mohamud Adan and his colleague of the House of Representatives Hon. Yasin Haji Mohamud Hiir Fartoon welcomed Sir Gavin Williamson who is one of the members of the House of Parliament of the United Kingdom who is advocating for the recognition of the Republic of Somaliland.

Their meeting with the MP was based on the strengthening of the relationship between the two parliaments of Somaliland and the UK.

MP Sir Gavin Williamson was then invited to the bicameral session that indeed lauded his efforts on Somaliland’s aspirations.

Sir Gavin Williamson thanked both the speakers of the two houses for according him the warm reception.

He stated that the British government is committed to recognizing Somaliland’s independence cause and the aspirations of her people.
