The Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Awareness and the Spokesman of the Government Hon. Sulaiman Yusuf Ali Kore spoke about the position of the government in the contest for the chairman of the House of Representatives.
Minister Suleiman, who spoke on Saturday at the opening of the Hargeisa international Book Fair, said that the government supports Prof. Yasin Mahmoud Hiir Faraton, who is running for the position of chairman of the House of Representatives and is a suitable person, who has done a lot for the country and the people.
“We are supporting Prof. Yasin Mahmoud Faratoon, who is the most experienced man”.
Hon. Sulaiman said that Prof. Faratoon was one of the scholars who wrote about the country’s constitution and participated in all rebuilding and peace-making conferences of the Republic of Somaliland.
He added that Prof Faraton held various positions in the past governments of the country, saying,
“Every citizen has the right to run for the chairman of the representatives, but the government supports Prof Faratoon”.
Minister Sulaiman said that Somaliland is alienated without Sool region, and the election of Prof Faratoon will complete the equilibrium.
