The community of Erigabo gathered at the Daallo Stadium, where they observed of the Eid al-Adha prayer, the most important day in the Islamic calendar.
According to the Somaliland news agency SOLNA reporter in Erigabo, Mohamud Mohamed Hassan Saraf, the members of the community in Erigabo attended the Eid prayers, led by the the governor of Sanaag Ahmed Abdi Muse and the mayor of Erigavo, cllr. Ismail Haji Noor, the commander of the police department of the Sanaag region Lieutenant Colonel Muse Hassan Kahin, the coordinator of the ministry of religion and endowments Said Ahmed Warsame Khadib of the city of Erigabo Sheikh Said Araale.
After the prayers, the officials gave speeches to the community regarding the celebration of the Eid day, and congratulated the community on the occasion of Eid, and asked the community to strengthen security, and uphold unity and solidarity.
The celebratory mood of the people was one dotted with happiness.
The members of the community living in the city of Burao the Eid al-Adha prayers in this year 10th of Dul Hijja 1444 according to the Islamic calendar.
The prayer of Eid al-Adha was attended by the community leaders at the regional and district levels of Togdeer region, who gave speeches on many aspects related to the blessings of Eid to the thousands of people who attended the prayers.
The community living in the city of Berbera, the capital of the Sahel region, gathered at the football stadium in Bursade, to observe the annual Eid al-Adha prayers.
The Eid prayers were attended by the regional and district officials of the Sahel region, all members from different parts of the community. Speeches were given to highlight the importance of the occasion and need for solidarity.
The Eid al-Adha prayer was in Borama, the capital of Awdal region, with the residents praying together at the main mosque of the city.
As reported by Somaliland news agency SOLNA in Borama Abokor Hassan Aafi, hundreds of people from the community who came to pray at the Central Jami Mosque in Borama city, and attended by officials such as the Minister of Investment and Industry Hon. Abdi Osman Dhaga-Weyne, the newly appointed governor of Awdal region Hassan Dahir Hadi Abraar (Hasan Eid), MPs, elder, intellectuals, scholars etc.
The new governor congratulated the people of Awdal region on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, and prayed to God fo peace, prosperity, togetherness and stability.
On his part, Hon. Abdi asked the residents to cooperate with the new governor, and urged the community to maintain security and refrain from anything that could harm the children.
The occasion was observed in all centres in the region.
People emitted happiness and joy all over the towns in celebrating the day.
