Four hundred and eight recruits who will be part of the police force of the Republic of Somaliland, the largest contingent enlisted at a go at the Lihle Police College in Mandera.
The formal induction of the recruits on Tuesday makes it the 38th batch of the police force training.
During their time at the school they would learn the various theoretic and practical skills needed in the profession.
The commencement of the training was formally opened by the chief operations commander of the police Brigadier General Ibrahim Abdi Haji and the chief training commandant of Col Khadar Jama Ilmi and the commandant of the police school Jama Ibrahim Adan.
They all urged the new recruits to be passionate in their learning such that they may excel in their endeavors as appropriately good public servants.
They said that they are young people who are expected to inject new blood to the work of the police force and community service.
