A leader of the Al-Shabaab terrorist group and his army appeared yesterday in the battle going on in the city of Lasaanod.
He is said to be a person who is internationally sought for terrorist acts.
According to reports on the Inside Africa website, which writes about intelligence matters, the said man named Abdi Hussein (Abdi Madobe), who is a leader of the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab, is the person behind the terrorism plots that planned and executed most of the murders in the city of Lasanod.
The assassinations and murders were tailored to pit the area residents against the nation of Somaliland.
Abdi Hussein (Ahmed Madobe) has been confirmed to be currently a leader of the Al-Shabaab group that is fighting in the city of Lasanood, the capital of Sool region. Somaliland’s national forces have been fighting with the terrorist forces for the last few days.
Although the Inside Africa website has not released any further details about the number of troops he is leading and when the leader of the Al-Shabaab group arrived in Las’anod, a video clip of him standing in the center of Las’anod was seen posted and circulating in the social media; it contained the threats and speeches usually akin and known to the Al-Shabaab organization.
Inside Africa news quoted numerous times statements made by Somaliland President H.E. Musa Bihi and the government of Somaliland on different occasions that the international terrorism of Al-Shabaab is behind the ongoing battles in the city of Lasanood.
