Somaliland Higher Education Commission has announced the names of candidates who have passed an in-house examination for the government of Ethiopia educational grant. Students who passed the test will proceed for higher studies.
Addressing the press at the commission headquarters in Hargeisa the chairman of the Higher Education Council Professor Suleiman Dirir Abdi flanked by Somaliland National Examination Board chairman Mr. Daud Ahmed Farah announced the names of students who had passed the scholarship exams.
The Higher Education Council chairman revealed that 138 candidates sat for the test of which 100 passed the scholarship examination. He stated that 23 candidates will be put on the waiting list while the remainder will have to sit for another examination in the future.
Chairman of SLNEC Mr.Daud said “First and foremost I want to urge parents to be wary of their children carrying mobile phones during examination time. I send my congratulations to all the candidates who have been selected to pursue their education in Ethiopia.”
Somaliland and Ethiopia Governments share a cordial relationship which has seen many students in the country further their studies in our neighbour jurisdiction.
