The Chairman of the Somaliland Central Bank, Eng. Ali Abdillahi Dahir, presided over the closing of the meeting to prepare the Strategic Plan for the year 2023-2025 and the 2023 action plan of the Somaliland Central Bank.
The meeting attracted, government officials, economic stakeholders, various scholars, and Central Bank staff.
The Director General of the Central Bank, Mukhtar Abdi Qule, said that the Central Bank will launch a Commercial Banking system which is expected to start operations this year.
He added, “The proposed Open Commercial Banking in line with the Central Bank Framework regulations.
The Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank, Mr. Abdirahman Sheikh Hassan, speaking at the event noted t that the central bank has young,, and experienced staff.
The Chairman of the Central Bank, Eng. Ali Abdillahi Dahir, said that the plan of the Central Bank in the coming years will be reflected in the performance of the Bank’s future leaders.
He expressed his gratitude to colleagues across the Bank for their dedication to delivering the Bank’s mission.
“The plan of the central bank will not be one that we have on paper, but one that guides us and implements everything.
