Government and entrepreneurs hold consultations on business challenges

The Minister of Finance Dr. Saad Ali Shire said that there is a need for the government and businessmen to work together to develop business.

A meeting held yesterday by the heads of the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce, members of the country’s entrepreneurs and finance leaders were aimed at promoting business and resolving existing complaints.

Businessmen who attended the meeting and spoke at the forum said that it is important to work closely with the government to ensure the efficiency of business services.

At the meeting, it was decided to establish technical committees consisting of the Ministry of Finance, the Chamber of Commerce and Businessmen working on business development.

Director General of Finance Mr. Mohamed Abdi Gurhan and the Director of Customs who made statements promised the businessmen that the Ministry of Finance will work closely with them.

The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Jamal Aideed, who made a statement, said that the Chamber of Commerce belongs to the businessmen, and they are working with them to find a solution.

Deputy Minister of Commerce Hon. Musa Selef said that they welcome the suggestions of businessmen and will deal with their complaints applicably.

Hon. Dr. Saad Ali Shire said that it was necessary for the government and businessmen to work together for the development of business.

He said that there is a need to implement the recommendations made by the diverse parties, and the businessmen’s complaints will be worked on to find a solution.
