The President opens the National Economic Forum Conference

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, officially opened the annual conference of The National Economic Forum which opened today at Ambassador Hotel in the city.

The conference, which will delve into various issues related to the country’s economy, including investment opportunities in Somaliland and associated challenges. It also dwells on the country’s productivity.
The conference was attended by the President, members of the cabinet, the Governor of the Central Bank, directors generalof various state institutions, economists and leaders of the government and other sectors of society.

The Ministers of Planning and National Development, Hon. Dr. Ahmed Aden Buhane, Trade and Industry, Hon. Mohamud Hassan Saad (Saajin) and Financial development Hon. Dr. Saad Ali Shire, were main speakers who explained in depth the importance of the meeting for the nation and how it is expected to produce solutions to the current economic hiccups challenging the country.

The President H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, who officially opened the forum, thanked and praised the organizers of the conference and encouraged them to increase their efforts and present a lasting solution to overcome the current economic challenges.

The President noted that the biggest challenge that needs to be addressed is the severe lack of water that has been exacerbated by caused by climate change, which is worsening by the day.
The Head of State has been at the forefront of rogering out negligence to step up diligence since he took office.
