The President graces Tima’adde University graduation ceremony of a batch of 530 students

THT- The President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi congratulated the Tima’ade University graduates who have just completed their courses.

At the same time he cut the ribbon for the inaugural of Gebiley state Lodge at the outskirts of the town which is state funded.

These were part of the activities the Head of State indulged in upon an official four days trip to the Awdal and Gebiley regions in the western regions of the country.

On Saturday10 September 2022, yesterday, he participated in the large ceremony where 530 students graduated from Timacadde University in Gabiley.

The President who was the guest of honour at the occasion was accompanied by members of the cabinet amongst other top officials hence the function was also graced by the attendance of several parliamentarians, politicians, the chancellor of the university, the graduates, students, their parents, tutors and many other guests.

H.E. the President congratulated everyone who played a role in making the success of the institution and making the graduates excel.

He said, “I congratulate and pray for all the graduating students, and I also congratulate the parents who came here.”  He continued, “I commend the university and its teachers, and the nation is happy for it has now more than five hundred student graduates injected into building it”.

First, the president of Timacadde University, Prof. Osman Yusuf Magan, who spoke there, elaborated on the different stages that the university has gone through and the efforts of the management to make the university develop widely.

The chairman of Horseed political association, Prof. Ahmed Ismail Samatar, who also spoke at the function, first of all congratulated the students who graduated, and urged them to contribute to the needs of the country and the region.

The Minister of Education and Science, Hon. Ahmed Mohamed Diriye (Toorno), also praised the graduates, and described the occasion as a success that Timadade University is churning out day by day hardworking scholars.

Earlier on in the week, the Head of State attended a similarly high-profile graduation at Amoud University in Borama.
