THT- A meeting attended by the shareholder businessmen affiliated with the Red Sea Cement Factory revealed that the construction of the factory will start early next year.
The meeting was attended by thirty-six companies affiliated with Red Sea Cement and called on the community to participate in the construction of the Berbera cement factory, and the shares of the factory are open to every citizen.
Attending shareholders stated after completion the factory will be able to produce 2 thousand tons daily.
At the meeting where various businessmen spoke, they said that they have done a lot of feasibility studies that cost a lot of money, and that they have identified the countries where the suitable machines will be brought from. The raw materials for making cement is abundant in the country and is enough for the next fifty years for production.
The chairman of the Berbera Cement shareholders Muse Hirsi Abokor (Muse Dalab) called on the community to participate in the shareholding of the factory which is enough for the people of Somaliland.
“We want all the people of Somaliland to join in the ownership of the factory, and whoever needs to buy a share can get it”, he implored.
