THT- The Director General of the Presidency of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Mohamed Ali Bile, who is on a business trip to some of the Eastern Regions of Somaliland, this morning inspected the Burao’s Independence declaration house, which is currently undergoing extensive repairs and reconstruction.
When he who spoke at the location, Presidency DG Mohamed said, “Truly this place where Somaliland was declared is the place of Somaliland’s origin. Somaliland was declared on 18 May 1991 and it is whereupon a person monumentally reflects on his sovereignty, his people and his nation”
He noted that the President realized the importance of the building as a monumental symbol to the country’s nationhood that he had taken it upon himself to have the building rehabilitated.
The reconstruction is being done through the Presidency.
