THT- The new Head of the Somaliland Immigration Brigadier General Mohamed Hussein Farah (Hirane) who was on an official trip to Borama, the capital of Awdal region, called on the regional leaders and the immigration department to strengthen the security of the border of Awdal, which is connected to our neighboring countries of Djibouti and Ethiopia.
The new commander who was talking about the importance of his trip to Borama said it was orientational because the border work is not easy.
In a meeting with the mayor of Borama, Mohamed Ahmed Warsame, and the Awdal and regional Governor Mohamed Ahmed Aalin (Tiimbaro), they briefed information on the situation of non-Somaliland residents in Borama and the region as a whole in Awdal.
The governor of Awdal and the mayor of Borama town thanked the immigration chief for his visit to Borama town, promising their assistance during his visit to the region.
Brigadier General Mohamed Hussein Farah (Hirane), said that his visit is based on the revitalization of the work of the immigration branch in the Awdal region.
Commander Hirane promised that he will work on the development of the immigration branch in the Awdal region since that region is bordered by our neighboring countries of Ethiopia and Djibouti.
He said that their first priority is to accelerate their task, because of the sensitivity at the borders, whereby illicit drugs or illegal foreigners may penetrate.
“Every region must work hard and the governor and the mayor work together in tandem hence step-up diligence for best results to be realized in managing the immigration sector”, he added.
