THT- Djibouti: A large delegation led by Somaliland minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation Dr Issa Keyd Mohamoud are on an official visit to Djibouti.
They are attending the 45th anniversary of Djibouti independence from France.
The foreign minister confirmed that during their tour they met with Djibouti head of state H.E. Ismael Omar Gueleh.
According to sources at the meeting the agenda was not elaborated to the press.
The minister revealed that the delegation received a warm welcome.
The delegation forwarded a well-wisher message from the president of Somaliland H.E Musa Bihi Abdi on the auspicious occasion to mark Djibouti independence day celebrations.
Members of the Somaliland delegation at Djibouti independence day ceremony, included the minister of water resources Hon. Ali Marehan, minister of Rural Development Hon. Ahmed Adam Jama and Somaliland ambassador to Djibouti Amb. Abdifatah.
The delegation during their visit met with top Djibouti government officials.
The Somaliland foreign minister met with his Djibouti counterpart and the water resources also met with his peers.
The Somaliland delegation is expected back in the country immediately after the completion of the celebrations.
Djibouti and Somaliland share cordial relations and cooperate in areas of security, economic development and health.
