THT- Interior Minister Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed declared that unauthorized protests would not be allowed to take place in the country.
Speaking at a government and public accountability program in Hargeisa on Thursday night, Minister Kahin said his ministry is the security pillar for all ministries, and that any obstacles faced in their work affects all thus then instructing public order to be maintained.
At the meeting, the Minister and the Commanders of the Police, Immigration and Coast Guard answered various questions.
The Ministry of Interior presented a video of the ministry’s work, and each of the commanders of the forces under the ministry briefed on their respective responsibilities.
Responding to a question on why opposition parties accuse the KULMIYE government of denying what they used to do when they were in opposition today, Minister Kahin said that the opposition parties did not seek permission to protest in accordance with the law. but wrote a letter informing them “of a protest to save Somaliland”. I wonder whom the opposition parties are saving from Somaliland.
