THT-Somaliland ambassador to Canada Mrs. Luul Osman and some members of Somaliland community in that country held a meeting with a member of parliament to discuss ways to support Waheen Market fire disaster victims.
Hon. Marie France Lalonde talked about the meeting she held with members of Somaliland diaspora community in Canada and Somaliland’s ambassador. A statement MP Lalonde published on her Twitter was;
“An honor to meet leaders of the Somaliland community and discuss with them the challenges faced by Somaliland, mainly following the fire in the market Hargeisa Market. A great conversation with representatives of the Canadian Alliance to Rebuild Hargeisa Market.”

Somaliland top diplomat to Canada thanked Mrs. Lalonde and community leaders from different cities and towns across the country.
In a written massive she stated “I want to thank Hon.Lalonde and members of Somaliland diaspora community of Ottawa and Orleans.
The Somaliland envoy specifically thanked Mrs. Rhoda Musa for organizing the meeting conducted visual conference to discuss ways to support Waheen Market fire disaster victims.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Essa, commended the efforts of Somaliland Diaspora, who have been leading the fundraising, and similarly appreciated the support of Canada.
