The President’s International Call is outlined in the Government’s Plan to Respond to the Community Affected by the Waheen Market Fire
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, stated that the fire in Waheen Market was felt in every home in Hargeisa, and called on the international community to expedite its financial and technical support for Waheen Market.
President HE Abdi’s five pages international call issued on 7th, April 2022, today, and titled “an INternational appeal for the WAHEN market fire disaster affected population, was as follows;
“The Waheen market, which was recently devastated by the fire, is rated as one of the busiest trading centers in Somaliland, and has been a hub for all foreign exchange and trade, serving the public in Somaliland and most of the neighboring countries.
