Council thanked the UK Parliament for the Somaliland Recognition debate & meddlesome warned Somalia

THT-At the 86th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Somaliland, chaired by the President of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, and accompanied by the Vice President of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail (Saylici), the Council of Ministers issued important resolutions on the issue. Somaliland’s independence and the UK Parliament’s debate on the independence of the Republic of Somaliland.

The Council thanked the UK Parliament for its debate on the issue of the independence of the Republic of Somaliland.

“The nation of Somaliland is grateful to the UK Parliament for its debate on the issue of the Republic of Somaliland in the House of Commons on the Parliamentary agenda, which has been adequately and truthfully reported by the members and informed to UK public.

The Council would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of parliament who strongly supported the right of Somaliland to be recognized, tabled with Gavin Williams.

“We are especially grateful to the parliamentarians who strongly supported the cause of the Republic of Somaliland, and suggested that the world should recognize the Republic of Somaliland, and especially to the members of the Parliament who brought the Somaliland debate and the leading member, Hon. Gavin Williamson.”

The Council expressed its gratitude to the Somaliland Diaspora in the UK for their continued role in advancing the cause of Somaliland.

“Somaliland, as a nation, would like to thank all the Somaliland communities, especially the UK Diaspora, who shown responsibly their and dedication.”

The Council calls on all Somaliland Diaspora in the rest of the world and Somaliland citizens in the country to defend the Somaliland cause and the ongoing recognition process, both orally and in writing.

“As a nation, we thank all those who have contributed political, economic and intellectual support to the Republic of Somaliland, and underscore that the government and people of Somaliland are united in their commitment to the independence and recognition of their nation, in all their endeavors and  whatever it costs ”

The Council calls on the people of Somaliland, wherever they may be, to work for the independence of the Republic of Somaliland.

“We would like to thank all the people of Somaliland in the country who have shared their concerns with the debate in the UK Parliament and the UK community and all those who took part in this process, and urge the people of Somaliland to take up the cause. Whatever it takes to unite and take up the cause of the independence of the Republic of Somaliland. ”

Calls on the people of Somaliland diaspora to prepare a one million petition sign demanding their right to international recognition.

“I urge all Somalilanders in the country to take part in the debate in the UK Parliament and the UK community and all those who took part in the process. We urge them to unite and take up the cause of the independence of the Republic of Somaliland. ”

The Council strongly warns the Government of Mogadishu, which has a habit of meddlesome in the affairs of the Republic of Somaliland.

“The council warns the government of Mogadishu that it has now launched a unprotected attack to the members of parliament participated on the debate. We are telling the government in Mogadishu that this will only increase the hatred, alienation and protracted conflict that are sowing in Somalia. “Somaliland cannot be forced to withdraw their independent and destination. A cause they already sacrificed much and ready now.

Meanwhile, the cabinet of the Republic of Somaliland heard reports from the ministers of foreign affairs and international cooperation, and the vice president of Somaliland, who is also the chairman of the Drought Relief Committee, briefed them on the drought situation in the country.
