THT-Hargeisa- The Minister of Transport and Road Development Hon. Abdirizak Mohamed Atash inspected the progress of the construction of the Hargeisa bypass and called on the contractor to complete it on time.
Hon. Abdirizak and his accompanying delegation including the Director of the Roads Agency and members of the Ministry’s Engineers who have returned from recent trips to the Eastern Regions of the Republic of Somaliland to inspect the reconstruction and maintenance projects of their roads, such as the road connecting Erigavo and Inna Afmadobe
Berbera Corridor Chairman Eng. Isse Hamari, who reported on state of the construction of the road, said it was progressing as planned.
The contractor company and supervisors of the project who spoke at the event has promised to complete the road on time,
“Hon. Minister, as project manager I welcome you here on a 22 km road and we thank the government. We are committed to building the required definition, ”said the project supervisor.
The Contractor Project Manager said: “We are committed to completing the project on time and delivering the Somaliland government on a quality path.
The Minister of Transport, Hon. Abdirizak Mohamed Atash, who spoke at the event, underlined the importance of this road, and how it will contribute to the country’s economy. It is my pleasure to inspect the road in Hargeisa, and it is predicted that it will be completed on time.

In all the Eastern regions of the country, the importance of coming here today was to check on the progress of road construction.
Since his appointment as Minister of Transport Hon. Abdirizak has been monitoring the state of the country’s road infrastructure, particularly in the eastern regions, and the need to plan for next year’s budget.
