THT-The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdirizak Khalif Ahmed, has announced today the list of ten sub-committees of the House of Representatives and the names of the members of each committee.
Appointment of Committees is said to be gentleman’s deal and was an understanding that was reached outside, to avoid igniting conflict among lawmakers of the House of Representatives, as sources said
The ten nominated HoR sub-committees consist of
1- Standing & Ethics Committee
2- Economic, Financial and Trade Committee
3- Public Works, Technology & Transport Committee
4-National Monitoring & Assets Committee
5- The Judiciary, Justice, Law & Human Rights Committee
6- Committee on Environment, Natural Resources & Energy
7- Foreign Affairs, Planning & Investment Committee
8- Committee on Internal Affairs, Defense & Security
9- Sharia, Culture & Family Affairs Committee
10- Social Affairs Committee
The appointment of the committees will greatly increase the performance of the parliament and the efficiency of the new members.
