THT-The immediate past Religion and Endowment Minister have thanked the President for having accorded him opportunity to run the portfolio.
Sheikh Khalil Ahmed quipped that he ran the Ministry for the past 11 years hence joked that his grey hair set in while in office.
He was first named to the post by the former President Ahmed Silanyo.
Sh. Khalil noted that he respected his successor and believed in his ability while praising him by pointing out that the latter was more learned in the Islamic sharia knowledge hence pledged his support.
The jovial and seemingly contented former Minister was giving press interview hours after being replaced from his office on Monday.
