THT-A highly organized ceremony was honored best 100th of the Ministry of Finance’s staff for the last year was held at Mango Garden Hall in Hargeisa.
A total of 1,066 subordinate staff underwent self-evaluation process without the involvement of the senior management or departmental directors of the Ministry.
The bigwigs of the Ministry including the Minister Hon Dr Saad A Shire, Deputy Minister Hon Muse Ibrahim Yusuf, and other dignitaries like Chairman of Civil Service Commission Mr Farhan, Chairman of the Good Governance Commission Mr Dayib Adan H Ali, Director General Mohamed Abdi Gurhan who attended the ceremony congratulated all selected staff, and urged other governmental institution take similar procedures for their workers appraisal.
Director of Human Resources My Weyrah who spoke stated everyone has selected three worker to be award winners which resulted all present here to be chosen in that process.
Director General of the Ministry of Finance Mr. Mohamed A. Gurhan said we are rejoicing rewarding with a hundred employees who were selected with self-assessment among workers. it is the first time such an assessment has been made across the country for selection of the best staff to be rewarded
Chairman of the Good Governance Commission Mr. Dayib Adan H Ali said, I welcome this awarding ceremony of employees selected for their good deeds as it is part of the responsibility of Good Governance Commission.
Chairman of Civil Service Commission Mr. Farhan Adan praised the nominated staff, adding that it is their duty, and way our country can develop
Deputy Minister Hon Muse Ibrahim Yusuf stated that it is their honor to attend this event which is first time conducted Somaliland, and has put a lot of pressure on the ministry to select the best hundred employees.
Dr Saad Ali Shire who concluded the event said it’s my honor and pleasure to be with you at this ceremony to be awarded of the last year’s 100th best employers. Those who haven’t received awards this year or last year should not think they have been forgotten but have to redouble their efforts, in order to be selected award winners next selection Allah willing’s. Lastly, Dr Saad and other dignitaries handed over awards to the selected staff.
The event which was scheduled to take place earlier this year was delayed by the careful performance evaluation process of the staff as well as the as the economic impact of Covid-19 and the locusts.
Ministry of Finance Development extends their compliments to all employees who have been recognized as the best performers of the year 2020.
