Police Chief urge public to be vigilant

As he directs the force to step-up security during the elections

Hargeisa: – The Police Chief Brigadier General Mohamed Aden Saqadi has urged the members of the public to be vigilant against breach of peaceful stability during the electioneering process as the nation goes to polls tomorrow, Monday 31st May 2021.

The general at the same time directed the security men to step up their services by doubling their efforts such that the elections exercise may conclude fruitfully. He gave the caution to the populaces and directives to the police during a function where a fleet of 51 new four-wheels drive vehicles were added to the force.

Brig Gen Saqadi thanked the state for acquiring the vehicles for the department       hence noted that they will go down well in easing their mobility in the rough terrains of the hinterland as the distribute them to various police stations and posts countrywide.

He thanked the President H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi for seeing to it that the police department expands its direly needed fleet. He said that the Head of State has always been at the forefront of boosting the needs of the security arms.

The general pointed out that as the departed gets more equipped, its capacity to render services, is thus pepped up. He pledged to have his forces do their duty and pleaded to the members of the public to eke in support and work with the department by standing by them for the good of the nation.

He warned police drivers to be professionally diligent and take care of the vehicles in their charge as per expected ethical cues.

The police force in the country have generally impeccable record of security maintenance in such circumstances.
