THT-National Election Commission together with the officials of the National political Parties has yesterday, Saturday 15th of May 2021, received at Egal International Airport.
A consignment containing the ballot papers for the combined Elections of the House of Representatives and the Local Councils of Somaliland.
The Parties namely UCID, WADDANI & KULMIYE were witnessing the arrival of the consignment and its reception by NEC.
Having its stakeholders and concerned actors united under the leadership of the National Electoral Commission, the Republic of Somaliland determines to hold its Parliamentary and Local Elections on 31st of May 2021 – a short period of 17 days after.
This come as National Electoral Commission earlier opened a training course for regional and district officials of the Electoral Commission.
The training was to learn the process and procedures of the administration of the local council and representatives of Somaliland scheduled to take place on 31 May.
