THT-The Somaliland police are continuing to confiscate & burn khat illegally entered into the country on the second day, and seized used vehicles.
According to Somaliland Police Commander, Brigadier general Mohamed Saqadhi Dubbad, the police forces throughout the country succeeded to apprehend illegal khat and arrested individuals involved.
Today, Hargeisa and Borama towns were burned illegal khat.
Although there is no official tally quantity seized around different regions of Marodi-Jeh, Sool, Awdal, Gebiley, and the total number of people arrested, media portrayed images of four vehicles seized by khat, all of which are taken away by Police.
The move coincides with the directive recently Somaliland Police Commissioner, S / G Mohamed Saqadhi conveyed for the army to double its security operations.
