The chairman of the Somaliland Civil Service Agency, Farhan Adan Haybe, has announced that he will soon complete the government’s workers’ pension scheme, which will ensure the long-term work of the nation.

Mr. Farhan Adan Haybe said the program would be in line with international retirement benefits standards.

It will become effective early next year, including both the Armed Forces and the national staff.

“I hereby declare that in January of 2021, we will become a national pension scheme for the civil servants.

In the meantime, we are working on the rules and institutions that are relevant to it. This is yet another achievement of the state and government institutions, ”said Farhan Adan Haybe.

On the other hand, the chairman of the Somaliland civil service agency addressed the issue of temporary workers in which he said that the government would scrap the temporary staffing this year. He pointed out that temporary workers are a major problem for all line ministries and government agencies.

Mr. Farhan Adan Haybe, speaking on the matter said, “I hope this year will be the year we end the temporary staffing. The biggest problem we have with the civil service agency is temporary workers. ”

“I tell you, we will end the transition. Those who are temporarily in the ministries and government agencies will be vetted and registered. We will go back and confirm with the concerned ministries and agencies, and we hold exams for all them ”said the chairman of the Somaliland civil service.
