VP Donates 20 Livestock to Borama Hospital

The VP H.E. Abdirahman Ismael Seili’i gave a token of 20 sheep and goats to inpatients at Borama hospital on Friday.

The VP who was on an official trip to Awdal toured the hospital where he visited 23 patients who suffered acute watery diarrhea, a disease that has claimed untold number of lives in the nation and along the borders with the neighboring countries.

The sheep and goats given to the hospital were courtesy of the local council’s Mayor, Cllr. M.H. Maydane.

According to the hospital officials, the acute watery diarrhoea had afflicted many people in the area.

They informed the VP that the health department had joined forces with the local council to combat the menace.

The VP on his part thanked the health workers and praised them for their steadfastness in the delegation of their duties.

He said that the government will at all times be there to give the support needed in the case.

The VP was accompanied by the Education Minister Hon. Abdillahi Ibrahim Habane, deputy youth and sports minister and several officials.

The VP’s main tour to the region concerns the monitoring of the distribution of voter cards currently underway which started last Saturday in the region.
