Pioneer road construction Technology Tested

Hargeisa (THT) This week, the first ever Top-Seal White’s road construction Field-testing turned to realty with the new road construction method being deployed for the first time on the links the University of Hargeisa and Pepsi area.

This new technique called “Top Seal Top Seal Black and White” is was first introduced to the country by Mandar Group of Companies, a local owned subsidiary in collaboration with experts from England

Mr. Mukhtar of Mandar Group of Companies speaking at the road construction site said,” Todays Field-testing on the new technology shows that Top-Seal White’s strength is comparable to that of cement stabilization. Other tests have shown that its resistance to moisture significantly exceeds Environmental Protection Agency standards.

“Studies made on the environmental impact which the new technology has shown it’s environmental friendly and no negative “on humans and the environment, “Top-Seal Black is a polymer-based emulsion that requires water dilution. It is non-petroleum-based and eco-friendly, evaporating only water during the curing process and emitting no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It does not contain solvents or cause damage to roads or vehicles. It is easily applied, requiring no special equipment or handling procedures”, Mr. Mukhtar said.

Minister of in charge of Presidential Affairs Hon Hersi added, “We are gathered here today to witness the first ever testing of this new road building technique on the road which leads to the University of Hargeisa which was severely damaged and neglected for a long time and I hope If this new technique is successful then surely it will reduce the cost of road building by 50 %”, Hon Stated.

“As you’re well aware of our nation faces many challenges and considering the fact we are not internationally recognized nation, we are obliged to turn to look for other forms of economical road construction within the quality standards’, Hon Hersi said.

Hon Heris finally concluded by saying, “I would like to urge fellow Somaliland citizens living inside the country and those in the diaspora to use the intellectual know how in the development of our nation and we (Government) are ready to welcome you with open heart.
