Hargeisa (THT) The State has rebuffed reports carried in yesterday’s Somali papers, the Geeska and Ogaal that purported to infer that the Head of State was opting out of contention to defend his seat.
In a news flash that reached us from State House as we were going to pres, the Presidential spokesman rebuffed the reports terming it as baseless lies.
Indeed the reports which was not corroborated was side sweeping.
Mr. Ahmed Suleiman Duhul warned the media fraternity, precisely the mentioned papers to stop forthwith publishing news that are unverified.
He further reassured the populace that the President was in the race hence was to defend rightfully his seat as per the constitution.
This news flash will not affect our sentiments in our editorial in this issue which preceded.
