A high-level delegation of 25 senior officials and technical experts from Somaliland’s Ministry of Water Development has arrived in Israel for an intensive, specially tailored training program on Sustainable Urban Water Management.
The delegation is undergoing hands-on capacity-building sessions designed to sharpen expertise in modern water resource governance, smart city water infrastructure, advanced technologies, and long-term solutions to the growing water challenges facing Somaliland’s rapidly expanding towns and cities.
Officials described the program as a strategic investment in transforming the nation’s water sector through world-class knowledge transfer.
In a statement, the ministry of Water Development expressed deep appreciation to the Government of Israel and its partner institutions for hosting the valuable training, highlighting the strong and growing bilateral cooperation between Somaliland and Israel in technical fields critical to national development.
