The Chairman of the ruling Waddani Party, Hon. Hersi Ali Haji Hassan, today convened a joint introductory and coordination meeting with the Ministers and their newly formed party committees for the Ministries of Justice, Religious Affairs and Endowments, and Information, Culture & National Guidance.
The meeting, which included the ministers and oversight committees that Chairman Hersi Ali Haji Hassan appointed just yesterday, focused on familiarization, alignment, and strengthening collaboration to support the ministers in delivering their critical national mandates.
Those present included:
Minister of Justice: Hon. Yonis Ahmed Yonis
Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments: Hon. Sheikh Abdullahi Dahir Jama
Minister of Information, Culture & National Guidance: Hon. Barkhad Jama Batuun
Chairman Hersi emphasized that the new committees will act as strong pillars of support and reliable partners to the ministers in carrying out their important responsibilities for the nation.“
I wish the new committees and their respective ministers successful and fruitful cooperation,” said Chairman Hersi Ali Haji Hassan. “I am confident that these committees will make a substantial and meaningful contribution to the success and achievements of their ministries for the benefit of Somaliland.”
This initiative reflects the Waddani Party’s commitment to close coordination between the party structure and key government institutions, aiming to enhance oversight, policy implementation, and effective service delivery in the justice, religious affairs, and information sectors.
