President meets potential Australian investors, assures them of the sovereignty and reliable legal frameworks

The President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, received over the week a delegation of Australian investors at the Presidential Palace who are interested in investing in Somaliland’s mineral resources.

The President informed the Australian business delegation that Somaliland is open to international investment, emphasizing that the nation of Somaliland is independent, reliable, and governed by strong legal frameworks that ensure transparency in business and foreign investment.

The Minister of Investment Development and Industry, Hon. Saeed Mohamed Buraale, also warmly welcomed the Australian investors, noting that the ministry is committed to creating an open, transparent, and investor-friendly environment. He added that such efforts aim to strengthen economic growth and generate mutually beneficial investment opportunities.

Meanwhile, Somaliland’s Ambassador to Taiwan, Ambassador Mahmoud Adan Jama Galaal, who attended the meeting, stated that he had been working for a considerable period to facilitate the delegation’s visit. He noted that the initiative forms part of the government’s broader strategy to attract foreign investment and enhance the utilization of the country’s natural resources.
